Seizures are electrical miscommunication between the brain and nerves. Epilepsy is a seizure which is because of problems in the functioning of the brain. If seizures happen more than one time without any cause, are called epilepsy. There are a many different types of seizures such as convulsions, epilepsy, muscle spasms and altered consciousness. As is reported in a journal, chiropractic can successfully treat seizure patients. Chiropractic care helps patients by locating and correcting subluxations. Subluxations problems affect entire nervous system. Chiropractors try to correct the spinal nerve stresses or vertebral subluxations, because they can’t treat seizures directly. If they locate and correct spinal nerve stress, the body functions work better. Chiropractor can reduce the aberrant nerve impulses, then frequency of the seizure activity decreases. Chiropractic care tries to find avenues that may disappearance of seizures. Carful probe into numerous cases may help patients to reduce or entirely eliminate the need for drug therapy. So chiropractic control seizures patients, evidenced by the following case history. An 8 years old girl, with epilepsy, heart murmur, attention deficit disorder and other related problems, had been to numerous types of doctors. They told the mother, the girl would never be like other children. The girl experienced 10-12 seizures/day and other problem like bed wetting. But chiropractic adjustments were given three times per week, and after two weeks the bed wetting resolved. After one year chiropractic care, the seizures reduce to 8-10 per week. An international study about 15 epileptic children reported that all 15 had good results after chiropractic.
